What are the Requirements to Participate in CACFP

 

1.     In order to participate in the Food Program the day care must be located in a  home.  It may be a provider’s home or it may be a vacant home.

2.     The home must be licensed by the Department of Health and Human Resources.  There are many levels of licensure.  To  determine what will best suit your needs contact the Food Program at 304-523-3031 or 1-800-581-3064 for assistance in choosing the best option for your home.

3.  Child Dare Care Homes must serve meals that follow the CACFP Meal Pattern Guidelines.

Breakfast

 -Milk
-Juice, Fruit or Vegetable
-Bread or equivalent

Lunch/Supper

 -Milk
-Meat or equivalent
- (2) Fruit or Vegetables
-Bread or equivalent		  

Snack

 -Milk
-Meat or equivalent
- (2) Fruit or Vegetable
-Bread or equivalent
