It is our mission to provide high quality comprehensive services to children exposed to Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and their families in order to promote healthy brain and body development through positive and nurturing relationships.

Healthy development and nurturing relationships will be achieved through onsite healthcare services, specialized child care services, support and education services for families and caregivers, and social services provided by Family Navigators who will guide families to needed resources and/or substance use treatment/support.

In addition to the services described above, RVCARES offers two special services known as the RVCARES Baby Bites Pantry and Care Closet. The RVCARES Baby Bites Pantry & Care Closet provides essential items for infants including formula, baby food, baby snacks, diapers, wipes, bottles, baby wash & lotion, and clothing.  The pantry and closet were first created as community outreach projects of RVCARES to not only serve families affected by Substance Use Disorder but to serve anyone who has an immediate need for essential infant items.

We know many families are facing financial hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our primary goal is to make sure all infants have what is needed to be safe, healthy, and clean. By providing these essentials items, we allow families that need assistance to come in and gather whatever they need to best care for the baby in their home.

If you or someone you know has an immediate need we can help with, please reach out. While our intent is to help anyone with a need, please know our inventory is limited. Please call 304.429.3882 or email rvcares@rvcds.org to schedule a pick-up.

We are also continually accepting donations to stock our pantry and closet, if you would like to help, please contact us. Your assistance is vital in helping infants and families throughout the Tri-State area.
